Your scans look good, but how about making the pictures a little larger, say at 600 dpi?

the coin is in a anacs ef45 slab.
the scanner is a canon canoscan 8800f

I'll do a 20th anv set ase and a half dime later and a 600bpi of the 1810

I also have a Canon Canoscan series scanner and have had very good luck with it. I tend to use my Canon digital camera to take my coin pictures, but the Canon scanner was the best scanner I've tried before I got the camera. I agree, though, that's a very nice looking bust half. I bought an 1822 in an NGC 55 holder about 2 years ago and (amazingly) it crossed to a PCGS 55 holder. I wish I could buy another at the price I paid two years ago....Bust halves have been crazy lately!

These might scan better if they were outside the crummy mint holders. There are oils in them that do not pass light too well.

A very nice image of an attractive coin. I like the strike and the overall look... as for a grade... I think it is a tough call

Not photo quality but very nice...

Love the Busty, only if coins could talk that coin would talk volumes...
