Crossovers from NGC & ANACS ?

What success have you had in crossing over coins that have been graded and encapsulated by NGC and ANACS into PCGS slabs ? Also greetings and salutations to all ! I`m new to the forum. Looking forward to corresponding with you. All responses to the aforementioned question are appreciated. Planning to make some submissions soon. Thank you.

    Welcome aboard.

I've only ever submitted 3 coins for crossover. All 3 were NGC and all 3 crossed into PCGS slabs at the same grade on the first try. All were classic coins (2 bust, 1 seated) and all were sent in as cross at any grade.

There was a question to David Hall asking the percentage of classic coins crossed. It seems like it was 35% ANACS and 45% NGC. I've always sent mine in to cross at any grade and have had good luck.

I've sent in some of my NGC, ANACS and ICG to PCGS for crossover, but not most of mine. Got some DNCs, but for most of them they crossed. You have to be selective and realistic about what is good for the grade or even conservative. PL and DMPL is difficult though I have had some make it through. Again, it is all about choosing the promising ones; otherwise, it can become a monumental waste of money.

I wonder what the % would be if the coins were first cracked out before they were submitted. image

I recently crossed over 5 of 5 from NGC to PCGS. 4 crossed even and one the 1891 CC (Spitting Eagle) upgraded to a 64. The 3 morgans are Vams.

I never have crossed, I only have cracked-out and submitted.

Both NGC coins crossed at the same grade, and the ANACS went from an AU53 to an AU55.
