Ever? More like "always."
But I've always received my packages from PCGS within 4-5 business days of them being shipped and I am on the east coast!
That works for me sometimes, don't know why???

Seems for $1700 they would know something. I sent this Priority, Signature Confirmation, and Insured!!! I will also say that the intended party HAS RECEIVED the package and did leave feedback, which is the only way I knew the package got where it was going. I guess a good conclusion to a potentially bad situation.
<< <i>Man its the worst. It is completely useless.UPS is the way to go >>
UPS won't insure coins.
you need.If you have a paypal dispute UPS can give you all the info online to give to paypal.Paypal
does not care if you have insurance or not.

If the coin gets lost who is going to pay for the coin. PayPal?
shipped the coin.
<< <i>No.You file a claim with UPS and you don't get a chargeback from paypal because you have proof you
shipped the coin. >>
Insurance protects the seller not the buyer. If the you ship a coin via UPS to a buyer and the coin gets lost the buyer will get his money back and UPS will deny your insurance claim because they don't insure coins. End result the buyer gets his money back and your out the coin.
do not insure coins?
Technically speaking, USPS does not offer tracking. It is Delivery Confirmation only which is totally dependent upon someone actually scanning the bar code and updating the status. The only tracking that can actually be done is on registered packages and even then only USPS employees with the proper access can track registered packages.

The package was sent with instruction for signature delivery. The delivery man left it on the stoop (his story) where it turned up missing. I have sold and shipped less than 50 items this year with one stolen and the other delayed with no info from the shipper (USPS mentioned above).
Insurance does indeed protect the seller and the transaction overall.
<< <i>I admit i have never filed a claim with UPS over a lost coin but where does it say they
do not insure coins? >>

You wish! To beat a chargeback, you have to show proof of DELIVERY, not proof of shipping. Just a few months ago I lost a CB for that very reason--gave PayPal the tracking info, it showed the coin as undelivered, so PayPal gave the guy his money back. Fortunately the coin was insured, so I got my money back from USPS. If I had shipped UPS, I would have been screwed.
The tracking number always has registered valid after a day or so and has always shown delivery after receipt of the package.
You are correct that USPS tracking shows that I have the package, after I have the package. That is very consistent.

That's only to appease PayPal. The credit card company wants to see proof of shipping, not proof of delivery. In fact, you'll even have to prove you shipped within one business day of receiving payment to avoid trouble.

So? You pay me with PayPal, don't receive your item, and initate a chargeback (either through your credit card, or through PayPal--it is irrelevant). PayPal immediately places a hold on my funds and does not release them until *PayPal* is satisfied. Even if your credit card company is willing to accept proof of shipping rather than proof of delivery, it's PayPal that has the hold on my money, not your credit card company. And you know what PayPal is going to say? I do--this happened to me eight months ago. I'll quote it for you:
"After careful consideration of the evidence provided in the case detailed below, we have completed our investigation and decided in favor of the buyer. Under terms of our User Agreement, we have debited the following amount from your PayPal account as a refund to the buyer: $197.25 USD.
If you have proof of shipment information that shows that this item was delivered, you may appeal this decision. To do so, log into your PayPal account, click the Resolution Center link at the top of the page, and then click the Appeal button next to the case."
