Poll - which AU58 Barber dime do you prefer and why?

Both of these are PCGS graded AU58 dimes. Please indicate which dime you prefer and why. I realize the quality of the images isn't the same. The first coin was imaged by Mark Goodman, and the second by yours truly.

First one by a mile. The second one looks cleaned and retoned.

the bottom images are hard to interpret.
i like the look of the top coin, but i really have to wonder if the
one below is a much higher grade or not.

soo i shall choose the top.

I'm a sucker for color so will go with coin number TWO. I'll bet it looks much better in hand.

There seems to be a lot of hits on the first coin around the lips and face, which is why I dont like it. This is why I like the second one. This is being said assuming there has not been any tampering done with the coins.

I voted #2, not because I like it better, just to disagree with Russ. Plus there was no option that said "they both look cleaned and retoned"

I agree with Mr. Russ. I think they both definitely have a nice look to them, but I prefer the originality of the first.

From a purely photographic standpoint the first image is far better. The second image is slightly out of focus, not well lit, and so small that it is hard to see any detail - even the date is hard to read. The top photo shows good detail, has good lighting, and is a better image. The second coin might have better eye appeal in hand, but you can't tell it from the photo.

    1st one...more natural look.
    Less garrish. Smooth toning

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
