A lot of times these "lots" fall under the radar because most people don't specifically need all the coins in the lot, and so they pass on it. Nice pickup.
The 1970-S alone is worth more than the bid for the group. I don't understand why Heritage lumped it in with the others. Normally, that's one that would be sold individually.
This is why I never send coins in consignments that might likely be grouped together in a single lot. Most bidders never look at them and they can go for a song and dance.
Haven't low-balled in a while. Did get a gold coin under melt last year, a proof at that. It was one of those unpopular Liberian US Prez coins.
