"W" or no "W"

This one is trying to be slick. I've seen him list others as "W".Text

If you notice, he is really bad because he had revised his title after creating the auction....seems like he is trying to purposefully scam people.
I have sent him an "ask the seller a question"

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Please report back, Bochiman.

People like him are fully aware of their ways!!!

Hopefully, saavy buyers will not bid this one up.

He deserves the $4.00 bid at the auction's close.

Edited to say, "I dropped him a note to put up a disclaimer that the coin shown is not a 2006-W."

I will let people know IF he responds......since I think he is scamming, I doubt he will respond since I called him out on revising the listing and the price differences.

His response to me was: They are all Minted at West Point.

While that is a true statement, it is not a "W" SAE......definitely a scammer.

I reported him for misleading title; I suggest that others do so too.

And he probably won't since he is fully aware of what he/she is doing and that is scamming the unknowledgeable buyer.

Yes, its true, the coin was minted at West Point but it is not THE W coin that everybody is paying big mioney for due to their limited mintages.

I had a go around with one of these scammers in the past and he wouldn't budge! Fortunately, the coin went for what it was worth, about $13!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

This idiot replied to me today long after this auction was over.

<< <i>THE COIN IS MINTED IN WEST POINT DO YOU WONT THE COIN YOU BID ON NO MINT MARK BUT MINTED IN WEST POINT >>

and for a second reply with equally good grammar:

<< <i>ALL THE 2006 ASE WERE MINTED IN WEST POINT LOOK AT THE PITCHER NOT A BURNISHED COIN WITH MINT MARK >>

    Translation anyone?

I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while!

He had several of these and that one is the only one he put the "W" in. and that one brought the most money, but no where close to a burnished one.

Someone is adding politics to this thread. You didn't miss anything coin related. Someone is still chewing on sour grapes.

I have a bunch of 2006 W Silver Eagles with missing mintmarks.
They must be worth thousands? LOL

    Thanks,

Ah, thanks. I like coin stuff when I come on here. Too bad so many people have to try to always add politics or religion around here image

With a subject line like that I couldn't resist.
