Now, Now, I learned right here on this board these things are almost pure silver and they "tone" up faster.

They do tone up faster, but not quite like that. The colors on that are too off and undoubtedly AT.

This is the most wildly toned NT ASE I've seen.

Hold on now....no one here knows if it was like that when it was slabbed (ie....AT'ed in under a month) or was blast white and then gassed or something while in the NGC holder.....

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I haven't followed the first strike topic that closely, but I thought to get a first strike designation, the coin had to be submitted in sealed packaging. image

Gassed in the holder or the coin was taken out toned then reholdered by the %&)%%*#___ (seller) would be my guess...

Nah, that one's nothin..... Posted this before.... I still don't know how this one got this way but it was after I moved and had a bunch of loose coins in a box in the garage. It's the only one that toned on both sides.

My vote is also for the coin being gassed in the holder. I don't agree with a lot of the eagles NGC or PCGS slab, but I can't believe a 100% boldly toned piece would ever make it through within a month of release as a blast white coin.

I think it could have been toned before submitting. It just does not have that "MOC Toned" look.

Those ASEs readily tone in sunlight, at least they do when they are raw. I wonder if sunlight could tone them in the holder.

The seller just pulled the auctions. My guess would be that a private treaty was made between the seller and an unknown buyer to purchase the coins outside of eBay.

Oh, it's probably a really safe bet that someone emailed him a link to this thread (if he isn't already a member).
But, I would bet someone did, or is, trying to get the SAEs off ebay image
(not me....I love nicely NTed SAEs but I wouldn't touch those as that is way too unbelievable for me.)
