    I talked in person with J.A. about this coin. He said he sees about one per year like this of this date. That prompted me to buy it.

    The "look" and eye appeal this coin has is extremely unusual for that date. Outstanding!... and congratulations
    When in doubt, don't.

    Very attractive and likely a 65 for eye appeal. A coin like this should please the blast white crowd

    Well, not to be the devil's advocate, but while it's a 1891, what mint? For a Philly, it has good luster - for a N. O. it has a decent strike etc., etc.. But to me, with the amount of chatter on the device and in front of Ms. Liberties eyes (prime focal areas), I 'd say it's a solid 63 with a shot at 64 and that's without seeing the reverse.
    Not saying it isn't a nice coin, just that I doubt the 65 grade for this one....but I've been wrong before.

    Its a 91-O and along with the 92-O about the toughest Morgans to find nice. Most of the really nice examples are or have been squirreled away I would imagine. I'd say a nice 64.

    Nice 91-O! I'll say 64, but since it's so well struck, it's one of those coins for which the price guides isn't terribly useful.

    This is as good as it gets for this date... killer strike, superior lustre and eye appeal. Worthy of a 65. Remember the size of the image as well as how the fields magnify the slightest chatter. This is top notch and a great addition to any collection

    I don't think the folks guessing so low have ever tried hunting down a decent looking 91-0.It's generally a horribly made date, with pancake strikes and mediocre luster being the norm.Congrats on finding a real keeper.image

    Very nice and a hard to find Morgan in MS65. The coin looks semi-prooflike with outstanding luster.

    From the images, I would have guessed it's a special 64- but I understand why it was given a 65 grade. Looks very frosty and attractive!

    This is one of the most sharply struck examples of the 1891-O I can recall seeing. I thought it was going to be an 1891-S when I first opened the thread, but then I scrolled down and found something unexpected.

    I was going to guess 64, with a very nice strike, but guess it got the bump for the superior strike. The coin also looks semi-prooflike in the picture.
