"Moses" buffalo nickel

This is one of the commissioned civil war coin carvings i,m a year late getting carved, but i got it finished last week, the subject,s name is "Moses" His g grandson commissioned me to carve him on a buffalo nickel..Moses served in the 8th alabama at a young age and later became a state represenitive and judge in coffee county Ala.I carved him from a picture when he was about 15..

  • Carving portraits on coins is a step toward engraving portraits on grip caps and floorplates for gun collectors, as this is what i,m working up too..
