I got this email and am excited about the possibilities of making enough off this transaction to buy lots of coins from Legend.
Should I do it ?
Good Day,
Before I introduce myself,I wish to inform you that this letter is not a hoax mail and I urge you to treat it serious.I am a Director in Procurement Department with Ministry of Works and Housing here in Ghana .I obtained your email while searching for a reliable person, who could assist me in receiving transfer of a supposed contract awarded funds.
This fund came as a result of over estimated contract awarded sums executed by foreign contractors in the Works and Housing Ministry. The concerned Ministry has approved these over invoiced funds for payment. The contracts which the over invoiced sums was created from has been executed and commissioned. What I am about to receive now, is the over estimated funds which was added during the process of obtaining the contracts for my own interest.
This is a normal deal that goes in my Ministry by top officials. On my part, all modalities have been worked out in ensuring a smooth conclusion of the contract payment to your bank account within the next few days. My department approves payments to contractors, and I happen to head the department. All I want from you is to receive these funds on my behalf as a Sub-Let Company, because as Government Official I cannot collect the funds directly from my Ministry, neither I am allowed by Law to operate/ run foreign bank accounts. If you are trustworthy and can assist me in receiving the fund, do not hesitate to respond back to me immediately.
Please note that there is no risk involved in receiving the over estimated contract funds in your account. I want you to state in percentage what you shall have for participating in using your bank account to secure the funds. As soon as you indicate your interest, further details and the amount involved shall be given to you once I receive response from you.I hope I can trust you to treat this proposal with utmost confidentiality.
Looking forward to hearing from you soonest.
Yours Truly,
David Addo.

nah, i'll give him yours. go ahead and post it here; i'm sure he must be telling the truth!
<< <i>The reason we keep getting these emails is that other people keep falling for the scam. If that would stop, the emails would stop. However, there are more than one born every minute... P.T. underestimated the birth rate... Cheers, RickO >>
if anyone caught that Dateline expose 'to catch a con man' it was pretty fascinating, but sad. A lot of the people that fall victim are the fixed income retirees. The Secret Service estimated how much American dough has been stolen by these scumbags; i don't remember the exact total, but it was mindboggling.

They must have found my name in the phone book under the R's............for reliable

<< <i>I like the fact that it's ethical and proper in Ghana to keep contract over-runs. That ministry sure runs some type of sweet deal!

the same as it is here; Halliburton gets to line it's pockets with billions in no-bid contracts, Cheney gets more weathly and everyone wins, right!? (except the taxpayers who are having to pay these two)

Holy cow! I think that Fatoumata Kiran, in your scammer profile, looks quite a bit like Petescorner's girlfriend!

I like his girlfriend's pictures better.

<< <i>Petescorner got a similar eMail and had a lot of fun with it, and I mean a LOT of fun.

I have a "horror story" regarding having fun with them. I responded a couple times, and before I knew it my megamail account was terminated for "violations of the agreement". I've called every number, faxed a hundred faxes, contacted every support department, and nobody will give me a straight answer or a specific reason I was terminated. I can only assume that responding to the scam email didn't pass through the JUNO filter and they erroneously believed that I was the scammer. I'm sure this probably only happens with scumbag companies like Juno, Netzero, United Online et al, though.
I knew it would happen.
<< <i>What's a Sub-Let company? >>
I think there is one in Kansas somewhere.
Maybe you can refer these people to eachother?
I think Sub-Let is like giving POWER OF ATTORNEY to my bank account.
I sent him MapQuest directions to your place for the party !
