Since I registered with eBay 8 years ago, I've spent an average of $325/mo. but have also sold an average of $190/mo. There have been times I've gone 3 months without buying or 6 months without selling coins on eBay. In recent years, I've been buying more at shows and less on eBay. The costs of selling on eBay are much higher than they used to be, but I still use eBay as a dumping grounds for my duplicates, and last year sold more than I bought on eBay.

I just went to MyEbay to check. I bought 3 items last year -- two books and one darkside coin -- and nothing so far this year. Let's see . . . $120 spread over 18 months comes to $6.67 per month. But the amount isn't low for lack of trying; I review the results of my automated searches at least every other day.
It depends on what is being offered. Some of the commems that I need just don't show up very often and when they do I don't worry about an average per month. My wife would say that I spend to much no matter how much or little I spend.

I have not bought a coin on ebay in 2.5 years. I have bought some printers and stuff for work though.
Wild guess: $200-$300/month

Easier to spend lots when you turn them over.
money spent does not say much
some buyers are getting inventory for small shows
some are only getting certified for big sales
some are 'gold digging' with raw
