I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

Well, tecnhically they are a board member if they were able to send a PM. Whether or not they joined the board just to spam, though, is a separate issue. I don't recall seeing this user posting anywhere else, so I have to assume they signed up just to spam.

<< <i>Just want to give you a little background on me and my company. I have lived in Northern Palm Beach County since 1981. I had a CPA practice for many years until I was in an automobile accident. After recovering I had an import/export company dealing with associates the the Caribbean. I am a licensed real estate broker, public insurance adjuster and property manager. Four years ago my interest in coins rekindled. Through some encouragement I began collecting high grade Franklin half dollars. (I have a bunch so if you need a specific date or mint mark let me know your needs). Then, I moved into Walking Liberties. As you can see by our website I dabble in other high grade coins when the price is right. All the coins currently in inventory are owned by me personally. We do have plans to consign coins in the near future. I became a member (although recently) of ANA, FUN and the Palm Beach Coin Club. This past October I made a decision to drastically cut back on the number of properties my firm manages and pursue the coin business almost full time. Along with my associate, Rick, we have put a substantial effort in this venture. Please feel free to contact me or Rick. Although we are open M-F from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, please call as we set appointments with our collectors and investors and almost all coins are stored in our safe deposit at National City Bank in North Palm Beach. We appreciate those of you who have provided Rick information on posting ads through Ebay. Up until recently I only purchased coins on Ebay. Most of my current purchases have been thru Heritage, Teletrade and some with David Lawrence. Hopefully, this explanation will give all of you a little piece of mind.
Unfortunately Mike from California received a gold coin by mistake and his Franklin went to Las Vegas. I did not receive his coin back for six weeks. I offered him one of the other 4 Franklins with the same date and grade. Of curse he took the one I was going to send in for regrade. The lines on the bell were terrific.
Please feel free to call, email or visit me. Best regards to all, Al DeMott >>

The moderators have said that they get people in here from time to time who are just here to spam the PM's and that they try to shut them down as quickly as possible. If you get a PM spam just let one of the moderators know and they will lower the boom on him.
Russ: As you have pointed out in other threads that we (as have others) received negative feedback from an Ebay person that is no longer bidding on coins. (Thanks to the help of other posters here at PCGS). Other posters received the same treatment. I posted the response not as spam, but in the hopes that folks on this message board would have a better feeling of a relatively new company. Unfortunately I used the initial handle PCGS provided as the gal that assigns new accounts was on vacation. If you research there have (and will not be) any new messages from "Getaways". I can only count on the good people that have bought coins from me in the past and are satisfied with their purchase. I believe the positive posts will continue. I even posted that the first sale we had on Ebay was not handled properly abd I believe based on the positive feedback left that he was satisified with the replacement I offered him. This industry is based on trust, reputation and honesty. I am well aware that only one mistake can change everyone's opinon of a dealer. I truly felt by being open to all on the board that I could continue to sell to those that are interested in the coins for sale. I appreciate your comments about me and my company and welcome you or any other memeber of the board to call (561-626-3103) or visit my office if you are in the North Palm Beach, Florida area. Thank you, Al

Any members of the Palm Beach Coin Club here? Someone needs to find out if this guy is for real, and rip him a new one if so.
He's new here. I didn't take offense to his two letters.
But, on that note, check out my website and see if you qualify for a free estimate.

<< <i>His profile indicates he's with PBCoins. That's the new eBay seller that got attacked by the fruitcake buyer posting bogus negs. >>
Nice detective work. This is probably some retaliation for getting him bammed off of eBay.
<< <i>Should he be banned from here? >>
I think we've reached a verdict ~
