In a few weeks, the ANA is expected to announce some of the planned exhibits for the Milwaukee show. It always seems trite to say it, but this year it will be especially true: It will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see all these historic numismatic items together in one location.

As soon as the info is available I'll either post it or provide a hyperlink to it. (Yes, of course, the McDermott/Bebee specimen 1913 Liberty nickel will be one of those exhibit items. The coin will be returning "home" to Milwaukee, apparently for the first time since J.V. McDermott's widow consigned it 40 years ago to a 1967 auction in Miami where Aubrey Bebee purchased it for the then astounding sum of $46,000.)

I'd rather spend $2-3 on a Sprecher brewery tour. Not quite as close to downtown, but much better beer. They also make excellent root beer for the designated drivers.

Well, I've decided to go a couple of days early to do the Brewery tours image

Also, I've updated the TCCS website (see link in the original post above) that has links to the ANA website page with info on the convention and also links to the Official ANA Hotels (There were 3 hotels available, but 1 is already sold out - unlike Chicago, there are only a few Hotels close to the convention center). As of today I have about 3-4 rooms left from my original block of rooms that I reserved - (Priority is given first to TCCS members).

Please stop in on the talk by Chris Pilliod and myself regarding the Wisconsin Extra Leaf Quarters. There should be lots of exciting fireworks there, especially if Arnie Margolis accepts my invitation - and we'll be filming it!

The Midwest Airlines Center is at 400 West Wisconsin in downtown Milwaukee. The ANA web site www.money.org has lots of information already posted about the convention (and more to come) under the navigation bar, Numismatic Events, near the top of the ANA's home page.

For your convenience, here's a link to an ANA web site PDF file that has the hotel reservation form an a color map of downtown Milwaukee showing the site of the convention center and the three ANA-related hotels.
