Egyptian crown

AH1327 year 4, (1911 H), Heaton mint collection. Bought in NYINC from Louis Teller. I've recently realized that it was an ex Heritage lot.

I bought it 15% higher than the realized price plus grading fees,
which I think it's a very reasonable profit for Mr Teller considering that it graded MS66 at NGC. A keeper.

It is more impressive in hand..... for those that didn't have the opportunity to see it in person.....

Thanks Gary. Still better than my horrible scans. image The coin was sold raw at Heritage, and Mr Teller had it graded.

In that same auction there was a truly fantastic multicoloured specimen 10 qirsh of the same date,(this is a 20q), but that went to a mail bid and sold for moon money.

    Agree, very nice design.
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

Very nice, Dimitri. The Heaton mint examples are underappreciated, IMO.

It's a beauty! I've always found the precision and intricacy of toughra designs very appealing.

I think the Heaton mint issues suffer somewhat from a "hoard" stigma.

    BTW, nice crown.image

True Doug. But we must have a different definition of the word "hoard", I don't see it as a stigma at all. The more I can get my hands on, the happier I am. image
