Anyone going to the Santa Clara show next week?

Just curious.
I will be sharing a table with Griffin Coins if anyone wants to meet. I would love to see some of the faces behind these masks.

I also plan on posting a list of people that keep their word on visiting and posting back to this thread who showed

I'll be there.

Would anybody like to set up a get together time on friday, maybe at the eating tables next to the cafeteria?

It would have been nice to finally meet but I have had bronchitis and know the trouble it causes, take care and get better.
To unwind from all of said stress I will have to take Friday and go to Santa Clara to view some little round pieces of metal. I suggest that those Forumites who attend on Friday pick a time to meet (perhaps at the tables next to the food concession). Skyman already sent me an e-mail indicating he is showing up. Anyone else interested in meeting?

That sounds good to me. I'll be looking for people around the tables at 2.
Anyone still going to be there on Sun?

<< <i>Thanks! Yes, that is my motto-better living through chemistry!
A lot of people back east here are sick. The weather is horrible as you all have been reading. For me, it was TWO west coast trips in a week that did me last week. >>
Laura, get well soon.I am out with the same thing, and going around West Coast as well.
I decided to skip the Superior auction but I have a couple of friends that went to day 1 and can give an update.
Did meet with WCTG, Skyman and Fletcher. Look forward to meeting others on Friday.

<< <i>Boy, this is depressing, no one's going to be there on Sun? >>
It's a coin show. No one is ever there on Sunday. The only reason they even have a Sunday is so that dealers don't leave on Saturday.
Looks like I'll be there today (Friday). I'm wearing a black and white bowling shirt with the name "Buddy" stitched on the front. If you see me, avoid the urge to hurl vegetables and say hi!
<< <i>Eh, wait until all the losers who collect DMPL's show and start tire kicking....
I would still prefer being at the show vs. being sick.
The Spring show is not as good as the Fall one for whatever reason. >>
A board member just sold most of his CC-DMPL set to ANACONDA. Looks great under the lights.
Laura, looks like Superior got your tables up front. Guess they did not want people walking in the entrance to an empty table.

Yeah, I know, the same goes for professional conferences. Speaking on the last day is a surefire way to receive zero attendance. Unfortunately my full dance card means that I won't have any free time until Sunday at the earliest. Maybe I can give an amusing "end of coin show/ghost town bourse" report.

A bunch of the DMPL "collectors" from the Bay Area are indeed some hardcore tirekickers.
The horseshoe booth at the front of the room has belonged to Superior for several years. Laura/ Legend's table was taken over by Brian Fazio, but he returned to Houston early Friday.

Ahh, I must have miss read the map on where she would be. Looks like a prime location is available for the weekend then.

Don't count on an open location. The last I checked I believe Dave Nieta/ American Heritage Minting and Gary Adkins Associates have jointly taken over the booth.

slow start at 10am but between 11am and 3pm it was very busy. Then all of a sudden around 4:30 there was a line of dealers with all of there stuff walking out. Still one day to go and about a quarter of the dealers are gone. I hope the public is not disappointed with the selection on Sunday.
On a bright note I met with oxy8890 from the boards and Kiyote.
Around 3:30 we noticed that Harlan White had vacated his nice corner spot by the entrance Across from Superior and near where Legend was going to be before they had to cancel at the last minute. Within 15 minutes we had gotten permission from the surrounding vendors and the show people and I moved from my shared single table to a corner with two full tables.
So far I have visited with the following board members. Please forgive me if I missed anyone and post a message saying so.
Fletcher
Skyman
WTCG
Kiyote

Hope to see some more on Sunday. Even though a quarter of the dealers have left there is still some good stuff to look at.

I'm heading down there now. Should be there around 10:30 or 11. Friend of mine will be tagging along.
I'm making a 'nametag' with my avatar on it.
I think you can all relate.
Vallejo anyone?
