<< <i>Incredible find, and NGC should immediately fix the designation! They came dangerously close to costing the submitter or current owner big money. >>
That is an old holder, were they designation AHs back then?
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
<< <i>Get it to cross and the consignor will REALLY have something! >>
It wouldn't cross to PCGS because a) While it's a nice coin, it isn't PCGS standard for DCAM, and b) PCGS has never graded one at this level, and probably never will. It's a nice dream, though.
What a great day for the consignor and kudos to you for catching it on the consignor's behalf.

wow...major cha-ching.on the unattributed topic..., i gotta ask what's the reverse like ? has anyone ever discoverred a transitional that has the accented hair obverse with the second reverse? i have the other way around with the second obverse on a accented hair reverse but wonder if the other way around exsist's too?

Too bad some folk look at this as suckin up- but this is an honest person- russ could a ripped it if he wanted to- but instead- he'll get it straight with NGC and put her up fer sale.

He is working on consignment fees right? It is in his best interest for it to sell for more. Not taking away anything from his honesty...
Hey Russ ... Is that a round "G" on the reverse .. I thought it was supposed to be a Straight Back "G". or Is it just the Picture ??? Rays look to be broken ...
Or are there Exceptions to the RULE you have seen ???

What a wonderful coin. Russ could you, if you have the time, describe the differences between the two company's standards here. It may be long and detailed so if you do not that is OK. On another forum I saw Lucy allude to the differences in what they each look for but can no longer find that thread. Thanks.
I'm familiar with the consignor. I know Russ has contacted them about his find and they are stunned and in shock. They have had this coin for a few years and never questioned the grade when they rec'd it. Since then, unfortunately, it's been in a safe deposit box; all the time thinking it was just a nice 69 u/c. Congrats to Russ on the discovery; I'm sure he will share in the consignor's good fortune.

I don't suck. It's part of a consignment group that came in, and I'm going to have one very happy consignor when he checks his PMs!!

I couldn't possibly afford it. The last time an NGC PF69UCAM Accented Hair, (there is currently only one), traded hands it went north of $10K.

Yes. I have several from the same era that are designated.

A no reserve auction on this one?
I would be hard pressed to let that one go without a reserve.

I don't know if my consignor will still want to sell it but if so, yes, it'll be auctioned at no reserve.
