  I don't know about $700 gold today, but plat is already well above $1300.

  Could be... certainly in the near future... and most likely remaining there - there = somewhere above $700 - for the rest of the year. Cheers, RickO

  No. Gold will not hit $700 today. Look for a snapback rally in the dollar to limit any of gold's gains. In fact, it wouldn't shock me if gold closed down today.

  It's friday. Traders will want to lockin profits before the weekend. However, if gold rallies at the end of the day that will be very bullish as they will be showing they don't want to be left behind. --Jerry

  Much higher. The 2007 Gold Buffs are up about $25 from last year. This is in anticipation and a hedge bet.
  The profits were already built in to last year's price increases.
  
  Maybe not today... but according to the mint, very soon.
