Good Lord, I think I'm rich. I got a whole roll of those. All I gotta do is get them graded. That means I would gross out $40,625. Brother, I would take that kind of serious cash to the mall and have me a time!

Not 67's you don't and definitely NOT First Day of Issue if they are still in the roll!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
***Here it is. Super Rare Top Pop!! One was already sold on ebay to a private collector, the other one is the hands of a collector and this is the last one. This will most likely be the last one for sale for an extremely long time. Please email me with any questions at all and Happy Bidding. I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The PCGS number is : 148106 you can check the population report at PCGS.com but there are only 3. Good Luck. ***
The bidding history tells me nothing. Maybe all shills. Only a loonatic would pay that kind of money.
Advanced collector of BREWERIANA. Early beer advertising (beer cans, tap knobs, foam scrapers, trays, tin signs, lithos, paper, etc)....My first love...U.S. COINS!
I am continually amazed at what I see here... and, of course on ebay.... I do not know anyone that would pay that kind of money for such a coin... at least none that would admit it... but collecting is personal, and if that is what floats their boat.. more power to them. Cheers, RickO

Just wait until the buyer finds out his pop 3 coin is gonna have some company now that PCGS revised their FDI guidelines
Never teach a pig to sing. You'll waste your time and annoy the pig
i guess i farred pretty well on this one. I didnt expect half of that. People are nuts. Once PCGS said they were doing the coin covers that was it for me on this one.

Joe, Didn't realize you were a member here. Congratulations. I had people calling me on the golf course from all over the country to tell me how my (former) coin did.
Way to go Joe! There is one part of me that wants to rip you for falsely representing the coin 'only 3 exist...won't be any appearing for a long time' when you know that the majority of coins haven't been checked and submitted to a TPG yet. Then again, you were the clown that paid over $600 for the coin in the first place. Now some guy is stuck with a coin he paid $3901 for that will most likely be worth $200 in 5 years. I guess this is just the way it is in the marketplace. Nobody forced this guy to fork over $3900 for a coin that is likely worth $200. On the other hand, I just get disgusted with the misrepresentation of this item and just how readily coin dealers resort to this kind of krap!
However, it is no different than the Stock market, so congrats Joe!
But everybody commented here just how crazy the final price was! Ridiculing the final buyer over just how stupid a purchase he made! Then when they find out who was the seller (after he posted), they offer congrats!
Does anybody really wonder why some people think coin dealers are total scumbags???!!!! Sheesh, just read this thread.

Well, this is a big place and there's a ton of "collectors" here, as well as dealers, and some that do both. On the one hand, it's prudent to steer buyers clear of worthless coins or overpriced junk, but on the other hand it's prudent to congradulate a seller for turning a nice profit. You can do both, you know. It just depends on who you're talking to at the time. Profit=good. Saving someone money=good. Flipping coins for quick gain=good. Steering newbies right=good. Doing it all in the same thread=impossible.
Well I have looked at a lot of Washington Dollars and I don't think that 67's are going to be that common on this "now out of production" coin. I have been watching the pops and there are zero non-FDOI MS-67's in either P or D and I think PCGS is being a bit more jusicious in what these coins are grading.
Given the new FDOI guidlines on sealed boxes and that fact that a lot of these first Day boxes have been popped open to search for the smoothie or plain planchet errors, I just don;t think that a whole lot more will be submitted. Even if they were, it will be a deep pocket gamble that may not pay off.
Congrats Joe! I just wish I had some 67's to sell.

Well, it's only been a little over 4 years but prices seem to have stabilized.
Maybe next year they'll drop to the $200 level?
