Newb Morgan Question about grading.

For purposes of this argument, let use PCGS grading (since that is all i will pay for right now anyway). It seems to my eye that if a Morgan (might apply to all coins, but i only look at Morgans) is DMPL or PL there seems to be some slack in the numerical MS grade. In other words, with the exception of the nice shiny field, a ms65 seems to look less banged up than a ms65dmpl (or pl). The dmpls cost more, but to my eye don't look as nice, at least in pics. Experts, please enlighten me. (As you always do!) Thanks.
