  • I think the mint wants to cover their A$$ because of the precious metals price increases. I noticed that the April 27 date for the Uncirculated silver eagles is no longer there. I think that the mint may have to increase prices if the precious metals continue this trend.

I don't see anything in the header that relates to pricing.

I do notice that they have moved the First Spouse pieces back into May. Last week they moved from May into June.

The four-coin Presidential Dollar Proof set still says "Spring," yet the full 14-coin set has moved up to April. Don't know which one will be first.

The uncirculated coin sets have disappeared.

I'll be interesting to see if all this pushing back will eventually affect the release dates for the later offerings of the year. If that happens, we'll see the 10th Anniversary Platinums sets pushed back too. I wonder what is going on at the mint??? image

Now that the Mint has a Director everything has gone to hell, must be a Bush appointee with the usual qualifications, someone who knows nothing about the job!

I little while ago the Mint had their schedule up through August...they may have to much on their plate. We all need to be flexible and in all this shuffleing there will be opportunity for the swift.

And the Bush comment is so lame, old and tired. Here's another one, maybe it's Katrina and/or global warming causing the perceived problems at the mint.

  • A concern of mine has always been the packaging regardless who is (not) running the show. Mint sets, golds sets whatever...they are packaged like crap and it never gets better. You would think it would have been corrected by now.image

That's a good point Bodie. If they get rushed at the last minute the packaging might suffer like it has in the past...
  • Well whatever the dates of production are, I do not think we will see a mintage lower than the Plat 2006 UNC-W's. Too many people watching it now. Even if the Mint pushes the dates way back to late fall, people will load up on every offering that could have a low mintage. Too many people got left behind in 06. That will make the 06's worth even more. image
