I couldn't resist one last question- this time I'm trying to engage him in intellectual conversation. Let's see how this works out:

"Why would someone buy this card from u at ur ridiculous price when they could get the same exact card in the same exact grade for $10 right here on ebay from at least 10 other people?

And don't give me ur crap about selling it for what you think it will be worth in the future. No successful business has ever sold something for what they think it will be worth in the future- they sell things for what they are worth now, and if they appreciate in value then that is what's called an "investment".

Why would someone pay 50x what something is worth now when they can actually get that same thing from another vendor for it's present value? If things sold for what they will be worth in the future, new cars would be $2,000, gasoline would be $10/gallon, and food would be free.

Not to mention, you don't even take appreciation into consideration. Say the card is worth $1500 30 years from now. That same $1500 won't be able to buy a steak dinner at Outback. Your idiocy makes me laugh."

This Bozo relisted the same card again, but Ebay bammed it, for whatever reason. They should've bammed it the 1st time , just on the postage charge.

I've heard it said that stupid people are born every minute. Unfortunately most of them live. I have lots of flaws in my own life , but I thanks GOD I'm not that "so out of touch with life " . Imagine stating in an auction that you belong to the elf union, that one of the highlites of your life was sitting next to spiderman ,on a Pt cruiser, on the 4th of July. You show a picture of Margo Kidder (Lois Lane), who went nuts and had to be committed. You show a picture of yourself and "Jimmy the monkeyboy". If this is an example of "Just living the american dream" , as he called it, I think I missed the boat somewhere in my early life.

I wonder if he knew Gary.

  • Thanks...that was me image Debating if i want to bid with my dumb_seller eBay id

Q: It is a free country and you can sell your McGwire for whatever you'd like. It's unfortunate you paid $1000 and then are trying to resell this. Because you are taking future value into consideration (a smart thing), you may consider trying to buy a few PSA 9 (Mint) McGwires on eBay right now which will cost only about $2 and then you try your luck reselling them. In fact, here's one of them for you: http://cgi.ebay.com/1985-Topps-Mark-McGwire-401-84-USA-Baseball-Team-PSA-9_W0QQitemZ190100950143QQihZ009QQcategoryZ55928QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Apr-12-07

  • I genuinely feel bad. I've got some bad karma headed my way. I don't know if it's getting T-boned at an intersection or getting audited or what but I'll be taking it hard for this one.

This thread/topic is too funny-Don't feel sorry for the MAYOR he lives in his rents basement and he owns a 8.4 Mark rookie! And as a side note he is selling cards that were meant to be promos for kids for 75 bucks- my local card shop sells these for 10 ,but it's still wrong. like this thread I.M.U.S. I wonder what kind of a beanie baby collection he owns? Must be Kevheads ?

Cool, I'm famous. That was me. I placed an outrageous bid on his
first auction (8.4 McGwire) and he cancelled it. I then changed my name to big_fat_hairy_**** and dumped a question on him. Within 24 hours, Ebay automatically changed my ID name to some generic member031105( -1 ) whatever. It was fun though.

Ok, I did have to rejoin this party...I hope I get an answer before the auction ends....

"If you are considering future value for this item, how long do you think it will take for this $10-$15 card to become worth $1000? $2500? You seem like you are a real expert and would like your opinion.
    Thanks"

Someone should ask the Mayor if he has plans on running for Governor.

Yes, I read somewhere in all his crap that he is some kind of radio personality, and his followers are Kevheads.

That was hilarious Eagle Eye, I particularily like the responses you left as to why you didnt pay.

LOL. So does that mean he was relieved to see cousinphucker become the high bidder?

This brings back sad but great memories.

The great mayor---living the American dream. What a nightmare. Should be a serious canidate for newsofwierd.com or hopefully make the darwin award list.

Jgargia11- I hope you have learned that ky and bengay don't mix to well.

Arthur-- We dearly miss you. Please come back. If all these other butttholes can re-emerge so can you. We need you.
