scratches on slab???

  I use brasso and an old cotton shirt or sock, never failed me for minor scuffs.
  
  For bigger scratches, Russ had a good solution here: Russ's scratch removal thread

  Mother's Plastic Polish avaliable at your local auto parts store. I have removed fairly good scratches with it.-

  Janvil 3 step system. Look it up under google. Essentially fine liquid abrasive to very fine to polish. Not expensive and it will get out some pretty deep scuffing.
