Coin show Niagara Falls, NY April 20-22 this weekend

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,975 ✭✭✭✭✭
On April 20-22 the largest coin show in decades in WNY will be held in Niagara Falls, NY. The last I heard, a few weeks ago, there were 135 tables taken. This show is located across the street from the Seneca-Niagara Casino. Some very limited information is available from their website:

Niagara Falls, NY show

I will be there Friday and Saturday. If anyone in the area, or not in the area, are planning on going please let me know and we can hook up. If you need additional info, let me know.

I'll be there. I will have to make it into a Niagara get-away weekend, though, to convince my girlfriend into coming image

I think I'm coming up there Saturday. Probably won't bring my wife or my girlfriend <j/k>, and I think my son has a bowling tournament that weekend. One of the currency forum members [newnotes] is going too - found out he lives in Dunkirk. I'll talk with you in a few weeks to get some good directions.

    Hmm, interesting.

Don, what kind of darkside presence is there? Do they do this show every year?

Tell me you didn't? image I had a fun day at the show when I wasn't doing my own thing, I sort of followed behind Don trying to soak up some of his bourse prowess. I got pretty good spotting darkside coins in the cases to call the shroom over. I was on the hunt for so-called dollars, specifically a Whipple Dollar, but everybody left them at home, just sold them, or never heard of them. Borrowing a bit of Don's logic that there is nothing like a big hunk of inexpensive darkside silver, I did get a 1937 Netherlands 2 1/2 G coin. Bought a Krause token book and a few tokens and that was about it. A fun 4 1/2 hours walking around with a casino buffet in the middle image

Was there a decent spread of Canadian coins? Just curious

I couldn't really say because I wasn't looking for them. There was a dealer who dealt mainly in Canadian coins though but I didn't look through his inventory.
