Cracked out a 70 by mistake - OOOPS!!!

Decided to crack out a few reverse proof 69s I thought could do better - so I piled a few next to my vice and cracked away. In all the excitement I accidentally grabbed a 70 and did that one too. The look of dismay on my face must have been priceless. You should have heard my wife. She was merciless and justifiably so. You mess with the bull sometimes you get the horns.
Anyway, sent 4 in for grading including my freshly cracked out 70. Grades came back this week as 2-70s and 2-69s. I am happy now. I would have been happy just to get the one 70 back. I think I'll stay away from my vice for a while. Phew!!!

Good adVICE
The real question is did the 70 come back a 70?
I hope your wife is not a Nurse. Mildred Ratched anyone?
Maybe if you saved that cracked out 70, when the TPGs adopt the 100 scale you might resubmit and get back a PF-100 grade!

Just as long as they follow it!

Did you turn in the old certs, or are you helping to mess up the counts on graded coins!
And some times very expensive.
I don't have any vices. I'm really a good guy.
I do own several vises though, for use in my machine shop.

Sounds like he may have been using some vice's right before he decided to use his vise!!
I'm not laughing at ya', now that you have your 70 + 1 back, I'm laughing with ya'.
Glad everything turned out okay on the grade.

Actually one of the 69s is probably finer than either of the 70s, but the other 69 is really an overgraded 68.

Your wife knows way too much about coins.
But did the 70 come back a 70 again!!!!!
Inquiring minds want to know.
Why can't wives ever realize when a husband already feels bad enough. Piling on isn't a penalty in marriage.

I was reluctant to post this because it was such a bonehead move.
To GARSMITH: Got married in the PI too back in 93'. Best thing I ever did in my life and am going back this April for a vacation.
Well, since VicThrust seems reluctant to answer our question, I'm guessing the 70 came back a 69.

John - Let's be realistic. I'm sure they're all accurately graded. However, one of the 69's is probably better than the other. Which is interesting, because as a pair, worst first, they would probably make great set-up coins.

Your write accept win a vice is better then a vise.
<< <i>It did come back a 70 as far as I can tell. >>
There's a joke here, but I'm not saying it.
Thanks VicThrust for coming back to me.
