1915 Buffalo Nickel- whoa momma!
I just got this one in the mail today. It WAS slabbed in a gold PCI MS65 holder. I freed it and it will go to PCGS soon to be examined for proof status. Notice the deep, detailed strike, pebbly surfaces, and sharp, flat rims:

The early die state is also an indicator of proof status. The reverse is incredible!
I've had two very well respected pro numismatists comment on this coin (having only seen the pictures, mind you) and one says it has a good chance, the other says not likely. Oh the anticipation!
At the very least, you have a circulation specimen struck with proof dies.
The die crack is there..............
Let the professionals figure it out.
What a beautiful coin!

<< <i>it is a fantastic coin no matter what the label. >>
Agreed... wow!
<< <i>I dont know about proof or BS, but that coin looks whizzed. >>
Nope, those surfaces are original, and it looks like it has a good shot at proof also
<< <i>It has that rim indentation consistant of proof- type two Buffs. Nice pickup. >>
Intocoins is right. There is a die scratch on the reverse rim indicative of all T2 proofs. You can clearly see it just in front of the Buffalo's nose.
Oh my, what a beaut!
looks proof to me.
