If you look carefully all three are the same coin. Check the nose dig out. It's the same on all three. Must be photoshopped? All dates are improper and would never have been so sloppy at the CC mint. I agree that they are fakes. bob

For anyone who deals with raw gold, you must simply own the book "United States Gold Counterfeit Detection Guide" by Bill Fivaz. This book is available at Amazon and Whitman.
OK, I decided to report these auctions to Ebay last Friday. Here's the canned response I got today.
Dear eBay Member,
Thank you for writing eBay in regard to suspicious coin listings.
Because eBay does not employ or train its Trust & Safety Customer Support Representatives to be experts in the area of coins and currency, we rely on expert opinions from knowledgeable people as well as reliable third party organizations, such as the American Numismatic Association (ANA).
Your report will be reviewed by a group of members that comprise a community watch group for coin auctions. They then confer amongst themselves and either agree or disagree that the listings are problematic. They then forward that information to the ANA for review. The ANA can then agree or disagree after careful consideration. If they agree, they then contact the seller directly. Sellers are then afforded 24 hours in which to revise or cancel the auctions. If they fail to do so, eBay must cancel the auction.
I'll be on Social Security and Elvis will have left the building by the time that happens. No wonder there is so much counterfeit crappp on Ebay - they have nothing to fear!

I have seen so many auctions closed in a matter of days. How can they possibly go through all of this. I know coinguy has a shortcut, I wonder how he does it.
i wonder if ebay even has an "official" stance on counterfeit coins, there was a counterfeit seated dime listed recently, it was a contemporary and was listed AS a counterfeit, the listing was pulled the next day would someone report a seller for listing an item for what it was ? and then they pull it ?? makes ZERO sense.

Disagree. I'd bet real money that these will be taken down before they close. I've never seen one like this reported and then allowed to close. --jerry

14 hours till close and they are still up and running!!
It takes a few days, but the seller will get canned on eBay. The response CarsonCityGold received from eBay is the same one I received when reporting a string of counterfeits a couple of months ago. It took a few days, but all auctions were cancelled and the seller NARU'ed.
PS - I agree that all of the coins listed are cast counterfeits.

Some are dangerously deceptive. The gold coins all appear to be from the same reverse die.
