Remembering Russ' pop report post yesterday...I think just about anyone would be happy to get a 67. Well I got one--2007 D PCGS MS67 First Day of Issue, George Washington. What do you say Marty, does this get me into the hall of fame?
I'll be putting it on Ebay tonight. Who thinks I should ask for moon money and who thinks I should start it at $.99 and let it fly?

I will congratulate though.

If I tell you "You suck" would you stop asking. LOL But you will only suck until a 68 gets graded. Now If I buy your coin for $15 then I would deserve a you suck.
Personally I do think you suck.
congrats, hope this dumps alot of $$$ in your pocket to buy some real good junk!

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
We don't know how much they are worth. I think it is still too early to see if it is a rare coin. I bet you $100 I get one this week as well.
<< <i>IMHO, the blessing of a TPG on a modern coin does not justify a "You suck" >>
I believe that one of the rules had to do with modern stuff.
<< <i>IMHO, the blessing of a TPG on a modern coin does not justify a "You suck" >>
Define "modern." I consider Kennedys to be moderns. And if Russ buys a 1964 proof set for $35 and makes an AH in 68 DCAM out of it, he sucks -- "modern crap" or not.
But as others said, you don't get to be in the "You Suck Club" (wasn't that an Amy Tan novel?) by asking people if you suck.
<< <i>one doesn't campaign for "you suck", one tells their story and OTHERS decide if the person sucks or not. >>

Wow. Tough crowd.
The odds say I should take your bet and ask you to double it unless you have an inordinate number of coins submitted. But that would be too much like wishing you bad luck. So just let me know how we would have done when you get your grades.
Good luck,
Jerry
I am just pulling your chain, seriously, sell that sucker. I'll take your bet ")

but make sure you include the magic words "looks all good to me" in your description.
<< <i>Wasn't that the coin you were sending me?
Reminder to the rest of the forum: I owe LalaSD a GW slabbed dollar for making the suggestion that I used for my new ebay name...
Al,
If it doesn't sell I'll send it to you.

In that case, may I suggest an openning bid of $100,000 .
Just kidding, 99c would be the best way.

<< <i>IMHO, the blessing of a TPG on a modern coin does not justify a "You suck" I will congratulate though.
Checking the Hall of Fame Here, I see that there are many highly graded moderns on the list but I guess we let them stand the test of time for a few years. Other than the the Cherrios Sac, the newest coins on the list are Kennedy Halves...
I won't edit the title because I think that confuses people but I humbly withdraw my application...

Perhaps the bestowment of any uber grade on any coin regardless of date of minting would be more appropriate. What are we rewarding here? The winning of the slab factory lottery?
Edited to add quote.

I would also suggest putting it on eBay ASAP while it's still "worth" something.
Congrats!

Well, I believe that luck is shaped by preparation meeting opportunity...but I'm learning the def of "you suck" here. What is the cutoff between moderns and ultramoderns?
Perhaps the real rule is that a "you suck" is awarded for recognizing a single coin and upgrading it.
Thanks,
Jerry
<< <i>CONGRATS........YOU DO SUCK!! will you soon be shipping the First day issues you sold? Rob >>
Yes, I don't expect to get much sleep tonight. --Jerry
<< <i>Congrats. 67's in first day slabs will be few and far between. >>
i agree but also add the LQQK and also note that this coin also has "edge is missing nothing on the rim" when you put it on ebay
You got it by default....

The top tier YOU SUCK!!!™ award must involve skill. There is no skill in throwing 100 coins at the wall and having a couple stick. Now, if you submitted 10 hand picked coins and scored , say, 80% pop top you might qualify depending on what their realized value is.
Or, for example, you searched hundreds of these and submitted a couple and scored an MS68. That scenario would definitely qualify.
