Now, even I can't even attempt to defend that image. Juiced to the point that all the pulp has exploded. It's likely an attractive coin, but there is no need to present it in such a way. IMO.
Now I'm gonna go against the grain as usual and wait to see whether a "respected" board member is the owner. Or, if any have seen it in person. You CANNOT say the image has been juiced without seeing it in person. (I learned that right here on this board) That is unless it's a favorable comment. Hope this helps. Heh heh

since I don't have a link from you to the listing, and I don't feel like goin on a safari --- i'll assume that you could have photoshopped the image before posting here.

if you look at the photos' properties you would be able to see it is from Ebay. right click on picture and go to properties.
I did not want to link the auction as it does not deserve any extra exposure.
I can say that jbsteven `s images are true to life with no hankie pankie.
can you speak to other Hanky-Panky which has taken place in his auctions, things such as shilling or having friends bid/buy items to bail him out?? i well recall a specific DMPL Morgan and the accompanying thread which might still be in the archives for the right searcher to find.
what do you think is worse, an otherwise ethical seller enhancing a picture somewhat or a more accurate picture with unethical bidding practices??

Maybe the seller saw some of the methods used here for displaying toned coins and thought it was an 'accepted method.'
