Why are some sets not weighted?

Just wondering why some sets in the Registry are not weighted. Specifically, a set I am starting to work on, 1979 OPC Baseball. Anyone know why? Is it because there are only 5 sets listed? Can I request it to be weighted? Thank you in advance for your opinions.

    It's because no one has had it weighted yet, And that is usually because of low participation of certain years in the registry. It is up to the collectors of that year to weight the set, Psa has the final say and may make small adjustments to the original weight submission. If you want to weight the set yourself and send it to Psa that is what they recommend.

    I keep seeing the term "weighted" can someone explain this to this rookie card collector please. PS I don't collect rookie cards I am just a newbie!!!

    Weighted means that certain cards are worth more to the set than others. For example, in the 1979 Topps Baseball Set, the Ozzie Smith rookie is weighted a higher number than the common cards because it is more valuable. It is weighted heavier than other cards, thus counting more toward the value of the set. I think????
