Photo with a $99 Nikon

What do you guys think? This is as big as I can get it on the message board using the image icon.

I am using a new light box I built armed with 4 5000K Daylight bulbs (These Bulbs).
No Tripod. I find that with Digital Cameras the exposure is actually so quick that a Tripod does not seem to make enough difference to warrant its use.
The Macro is the standard setting on the Camera. It has a focal length of just a few inches. This is in Macro mode with the flash off.
So the question is: Why spend $1000 for an SLR if you can do this with a $99 Camera?
