Is this really an MPL...as Listed on the Bay?

Frankly, I don't have enough experience to determine if this 1909 Lincoln is or isn't a Matte Proof. However, the fact that the seller has no prior E-bay history and accepts ONLY checks or M.O.'s seems a bit shady to me.

Matte Proof '09 Lincoln...Really?

I suspect that the coin is question is not an MPL.

Cheesy pics. Looks like a MS64 RD cent to me with some obverse tactile toning. $40 tops. image

Everybody has to start with zero sales sometime but a PF67 RD Matte Proof cent.......... something doesn't seem right.....

"MATTE PROOF LINCOLNS ARE VERY RARE AS SUCH"

Nothing rare about this business strike. Another scammer, joined two weeks ago, and the pics make it look like it has railroad rims. $62.00 and one day to go.

This seller is not new to ebay, he has sold under many account names in the past and has been discussed on these boards perhaps scores of times.

Were you actually considering bidding on this? If you were, you need to step back and rethink your approach to buying. There are more red flags here than there are in China.
