Another BB from PCGS...they're killing me ;)

Grade: Cleaned image

See those faint hairlines up top? I told the guy when I bought it (20% over spot a few weeks ago) I was worried it would BB...he said if it was he'd take it back, but I'm keeping it anyway. It's a beauty. Just wondered if it would grade. I got my answer!

I thought all Saints were overgraded nowadays? image

Got MS69's and two MS70's on the 2006 W Gold, so it evens out I guess. image

That is a nice coin for % over spot. I am surprised, but in hand maybe it is/has a Q tip type of hairlining. Too bad. It looks really nice and the price was right.

Thanks 410...I didn't notice the hairlines 'til I pulled out my loupe...and they're only in that one area. And they don't seem to come up onto the devices. Odd. Maybe a partially burnished planchet? image

I've resubmitted bodybagged coins within a week or two and got them graded. Since they grade a zillion Saints, you could probably try again tomorrow.

I believe what you re referring to as lines on the top of the coin are not cleaning lines at all. I see more evidence of cleaning lines in the field at 3 o'clock.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

I think it will probably holder if submitted again. I would keep it raw and enjoy it though. You can always slab it if you want to sell it later.

I agree - nothing like the feel of them in your hand.

Those didn't look suspicious, but I'll check again when it gets back. No way those hairlines up top have anything to do with that die crack, is there?
