I would like to see that one in person. I would guess that most of those Morgans are common dates (1887, 1881-S, for example) and circulated....... Still I bet it would be an awesome sight to behold in person!!!

If it was built in '35, it is unlikely anyone cherrypicked key dates. In fact, most of the key dates today were not key dates back then. In any event, if they were stuck to the wood, they're probably not going to grade very high. 1000+ morgans is still a hefty load. I like that bar, but I wouldn't pay more than 40K for it image

In case you were wondering, if you're planning to sell 1008 silver dollars at today's closing bid, $13.29/oz, you may expect upwards of $10,879.46.

What a surprise the bar owner would be in for when you come to collect the prize!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Have a bartop in my basement that I put together myself back in 1995. I placed over 1000 coins of all denominations, copper & silver, in random order, with both obverses and reverses showing. It is sure a conversation piece when anyone comes over. At the time I thought it was a good idea. Sure would like to be able to remove some of those coins now. image

Check out his other auctions... he has the par listed twice at 85,000 and a business listed three times at 180,000... the fees are going to force him back to work...lol.

What are the fees on an item sold for 180,000?

3% would be $5400. Does he take PayPal? An echeck for a flat $5 fee would be a good deal.

Looking at his other auctions. He says he owns a welding shop but in one of his listings he has this
Hydrolic metel bender, w/ all the wisles & bells.

What is metel? we wont bring up the wislesimage

Are the bars in Montana upside down?

I think there's a bar in Jackson Hole like that as well.

I'd hate to see the shipping costs!
