I can't remember us ever having a pic post just for Seated Dollars. They're a neat coin so they deserve one. I don't own one so I'll just post this pic I took off the internet lol.

Here's one of my new purchases from this past weekend's Houston Money Show of the SW, a very beautifully brown 2-sided toned 1859-O Seated Liberty Dollar with strong strike, dripping cartwheel luster and lovely original skin.

I will try to take some better photos of her within the next day or two. I will refrain from posting the grade at this time, because this coin may be the subject of an upcoming Guess the Grade thread.

For those who don't know, if you look closely at tradedollarnut's beautiful 1844 dollar closeup, you will see well a minor variety in the series that appeared that year: Each of the vertical stripes in Ms. Liberty's shield has 4 rather than the 3 rays present all other years, like this 1867:

Thanks 23Pairer. It came back Altered surfaces from PCGS.
It has a bit of an odd look but I really thought it would slab.
It's back at home in a Dansco and looks great there.
