Wasting time on the Forum finally pays off!
Was walking into Kroger and saw the Coinstar machine. Looked around to see if anybody was watching. Reached into the the rejected coins bin and pulled out 4 quarters and 4 cents. Woohoo - creating wealth through knowledge!!

<< <i>I never find any money in the Coinstar at my local grocery store. Too much competition from the people that live in my neighborhood.

In your neighborhood, I'm surprised that the last time the Coinstar machine was seen by anyone, it was wrapped around with chains being pulled down the road at 60mph behind a pickup

Not at all... Russ is over there on the left coast!!
when they still had coins in Atlantic City, I used to walk the casino floor to see what was in the hoppers left from the blind ol ladies. Better yet, I used to buy Kennedy half dollar rolls down there for no reason, but to search for 40 & 90 %.
You're a rookie!
joking, but the top part is true.

None of my neighbors own working vehicles.

<< <i>man, that reminds me when i was about five and we were waiting in an airport and my younger brother and i did the same thing, went down the row of pay phones and came back to my mother with fistfuls of change. She blew a gasket and summoned a security guard and made us hand it over. >>
Lesson to be learned--never let your Mom know when you're robbing the pay phones!--needless to say my Mom didn't know I was ditching school to go downtown--or at least not till later. Then she would tell my Dad and all hell would break loose. Still--a lot of fun and I survived. Coinstar will never compare!

I don't think owning the vehicle would be a requirement for your neighbors.
