  • Great looking shop! I like the dark atmosphere too, it's good for inspecting coins with a loop & light. I hope it's successful--too many of the shops near me have closed up and eBay seems to be the only way to browse coins.

    << <i>Steve,

I think you have found the answer to a collector's dream. You can be among all the things you like, every day.

Be sure to keep us up to date on the progress of the endeavor. We would love to hear the stories that will occur-- the little ol lady who comes in with the shoe box, and Lo and Behold--

Early dollars, bust quarters, and a few Gobrecht's.

    Good Luck >>

Yep, then comes the hard part ....just how much to pay for that shoebox from the little old lady!image

Decorah is a great place to visit, if you are ever in the area. Lots of great shops, including a new coin shop, and great hospitality. They've got a couple of places to ski, and it's a very scenic area in NE Iowa. Steve is a very fortunate guy to live there.

Steve, how in heck did you decide on Decorah?

    Nice place!

Sometimes I go trout fishing in the area- up near Spring Grove and Caledonia. Bluff Country is about as beautiful as it gets. Maybe I'll see you sometime.
