Analyze this Trade Dollar...

Something a little different, if you feel inclined, analyze this coin... The grade, the 'chop', the issues with it, the year, etc... If you were going to write a auction catalog entry for it (no, I'd never bother auctioning it, but that's besides the point), what would it be?

You won't get sent to the cleaners on this trade dollar, it's already been there.

There are some good counterfeit '74-S T$ out there, but I don't remember the diagnostics. I'd be wary of the coin unless I had it in hand with some references.

according to your website it says "This coin also lived a secret life in the past and carried more than just silver while over in China." So I take it, it was hollowed out for drugs of some sort?

The so-called "Opium Dollars" were most likely not used for hiding opium. From what I have read, they were usually made here in the states.

Whizzzzzzed. Could be worse, at least it does not say "made in China"
