XF40. Pretty good strike for 24-S.
Something about this coin doesn't look right, though. Possible cleaning?

I'd call that a mid range VF

looks almost grainy in appearance such as it possibly has an even covering of corrosion.

VF. Even with a weak strike that "LIBERTY" is too mushy for anything higher, IMHO.

I'd call it a VF25, with the possibility of corrosion/cleaning.

I picked this coin up for my dansco about 6 months ago. I payed VG + for it. Overall I think it has VF details albeit a weak obverse periphery. My opinion is that it was cleaned with a light abrasive and over time has begun to build a film over that. I think its a nice album coin , but would not plastic at any of the TPG's . I like it for the look and for a problem free coin your talking a couple extra benjamins.
