assuming the weight is spot on, size, etc...

Im no TD expert, is that the way these guys are supposed to tone?? (corrosion @ 1-2 o'clock)

Off hand I dont know the diagnostics to use.

Looks real to me, but I would weigh it - if the weight is OK I'd send it in for grading.

1877-S is a date commonly seen counterfeited.

Checking the weight is a good place to start. Most of the Chinese
forgeries come in around 22-23 grams. Should be 27.

From what I can see in the picture, there is nothing to denote it being a fake.

I have a general rule about these:

If it's not in a pcgs-ngc-anacs holder, I stay away.
