I've got one on the hook, now, for that amazingly toned Morgan that I didn't win for $1500.. I've gotten some spoof messages from eBay now, but the scammer must not to too bright; he sent me an invoice with the correct item # but for a SLR camera. I also got the following from suport@e-squaretrade.com.
My name is Fred Brewer from the eBay Safety Center.

Are these Nigerians? The whole thing seems to have a slight international flavor to it. The "Seller" claims he is in London now. At what point can I call the police? At any point?

I agree ... Best to not answer your door when strangers knock. That is for sure.

<< <i>I did play with a Nigerian once and actually got a call at 3:00 am in the morning, asking for "Dr. Denniss Longo", my alt identity I created of a retired dentist. >>
When scammers have your phone number and are calling at 3:00 AM I'd say that you are playing with fire. And generally playing with fire has a predictable outcome.
