What makes this board....

IMHO, it is the varied expert advice one can receive.
Ask a question, need an answer. Does not matter rather it's submissions, classic coins, moderns; or just how do I get started. 99% of the time you will get a polite, intelligent answer.
99% of the time, if you read carefully, you will be rewarded. 1% of the time you will be insulted.
I love these odds. JMO. jws

And 50% of the perceived insults are meant as constructive peer review or to engage in productive debate, a staple of message boards.

We actually get along a lot better than we give ourselves credit for as we dwell on the crazy tangents.

Agreed, there are a lot of experts here willing to share their opinions gratis. The Board is much appreciated, kudos to PCGS for having these message boards!

Its the other 50% that are just pure insults and you have to learn who to ignore

The information and knowledge on these boards are an outstanding benifit to a rookie collector like me, the insults and other garbage that gets posted just gets passed over and ignored by me.

I love the boards. I am, and will always consider myself to be a novice collector... I don't sell coins, I don't have the time to study deeply... and I really appreciate being able to get opinions, share thoughts, and just do a bit of reading as the day progresses. I suppose I've learned more here than all other sources.

The absolutely amazing amount of knowlede, experience

and intelligence to be found on this board. I have an IQ of

130 and yet I feel pretty stupid compared to many on this Forum.
