For me, it's seated coinage & I just had a craving to try and complete a Feuchtwanger cents grading set and eventually other Feuchtwanger tokens.
Right now I have:
Cents
1837 Feuchtwanger Cent ANACS VF20
1837 Feuchtwanger Cent raw AU58
Three Cent
1837 Three Cent Eagle Piece NCS Corroded XF details
What are you guys & gals working on now? I'm just curious!

Don't worry, no moderns yet. It's the more expensive ones I'm looking for now; such as Seated Dollars & Halves, Bust Halves (especially FH), some Bust Quarters and those early little Bust Dimes from 1795-1805. Oh, and some Half Cents for a change.
Proof gold Britannias are just BEYOND WORDS! I don't collect all that much non-
US material but I just have to pick the Proof Gold Brits up when I see them because they are so Beautiful!

What's wrong with quarters?
I am collecting mostly No Motto branch mint half eagles (CDO), but I will step out for interesting rare date gold coins, especially those that are uber-original and/or have a cool pedigree.
On a side, I'm building a set of proof $50 platinum coins and a 19th/20th century type set, as well as a collection of one oz silver bullion coins from around the world.
Yeah, I need more focus.

This seems to absorb all of my funds very nicely.
If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!

Collect them by die variety. That'll keep you busy for years. There's lots of them.
