I like my morgans purple...
After the last one I bought locally, and loving the deep vibrant purple on the reverse, I've been keeping an eye out for other purple morgans.
I decided to pick up the one below. 1888, NGC MS65. Pictures belong to the seller, so it will be curious to see how colorful the toning really is in hand. I'm a little hinky about what's going on beneath "STATES" on the reverse though...

all in old paper envelopes and all were PURPLE-toned...Are the flips the main culprit?
Are there any other environmental factors that would turn silver these colors?
