Guys/Gals vote in the poll with the number, I hae it hooked up to a spread sheet so I don't have to make too much effort tallying the results. PM me only if the number you purchased is not listed or you already voted and made a mistake.
<< <i>928 counted 11:19 PM PST Dec 24 >>
1865 Coins total!
What is that as a percentage of the Mintage? Big chages today with 2 people voting for 300 hundred coins. That is quite a few and since anyone could just vote
Box of 20
<< <i>I only buy the big ones.. . Cheers, RickO >>
In this case, the half WILL be the big one.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
<< <i>1874 - What was the mintage again? >>

I agree. It's interesting to compare it to my platinum survey. Maybe I'm naive, but I think people are less likely to lie about their purchases when they have to tell someone directly, rather than anonymously responding to a poll.

I actually think the opposite. It took me a long time to tell Andy what I purchased. If I could have done it anonymously I would have much sooner. I am positive there are people that would not tell even a trusted board member like Andy.
the poll is as anonymous as it comes. No one has any idea who voted for what. The figures with the 200 - 300 coins could be suspect but there are some big dealers here so it is not too far from possible.
So here we are with a total of 2222 out of a mintage of 3356. 66% of the mintage. What were the plat percentages?
That's not the final mintage, is it?

Fair point. Then again, maybe the people that wouldn't reveal their platinum purchases to me were offset by people exaggerating their purchases. Maybe it was a wash, maybe far from it. I guess the bottom line is that we only know that the gold estimate will give us a higher percentage of the actual number purchased, compared to platinum. Whether the gold numbers are more accurate than the platinum numbers, we'll never know.

That is what was posted from Numismatic news. I don't think it includes the sets however and I asked people to count their set purchases in the totals. So Wayne is correct the total is higher.
2233 tallied
But, since there is inflation doubts... 6. 3 for me and 3 for a friend that had no power last week and asked me to do it for him.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
