Poll: How many Green PCGS Boxes do you have?

I'm just curious. I've got 5 of them and lots more blue ones. In case you are not familiar with them PCGS used to ship large orders in Green colored hard plastic boxes. When they switched from green to blue labels they also switched from green boxes to blue boxes.

I might have one, but I don't use it. I use IS and NGC boxes... NGC store all holders so much better, so there's no use in having a PCGS box to me.

4 blue ones and that's it. I use one to store those extra long matches for the fireplace. Another for storing receipts. The other two just collect dust.

One or two green, three blue.

Actually I think I gave some away. I know I have at least one green and one blue left.

  • Ooops, I counted wrong.

I have 6 of the green boxes, 17 blue boxes and 8 NGC boxes. I also have a double cardboard box that holds 40 slabs on each side.

None of these things are good for the old rattler holders. I like the NGC boxes too 'cause they hold more types of slabs -- I'm using all of mine. I don't use all the PCGS boxes and continue to give away some blue boxes to customers. I'm not giving away any green ones, I'm hoarding them! image

I probably have more boxes than I really want to count but most are blue.
I also have about 10 green boxes.

Another 10 NGC boxes - mixed between smoke and silver. This is the box I really prefer as so many different slabs fit in them.

Anybody have any of the old black PCGS boxes made of vinyl covered paper that held the old rattlers? I have three - saved them for posterity - maybe smoeday slab box collecting will become popular.

I have about 25 'rattler' slabs and hopefully will end up with at least 80 by the time I finish a set. If you ever get tired of the black boxes let me know.

  • If I start a box collection I will need one of those old black PGCS boxes too!

All my NGC boxes are the smoke colored ones, no silver ones yet for me.

One. I sold about dozen of them before I moved to Florida.

In this case the NGC boxes are FAR better.

1 Old Green Box, and about a dozen of the Blue Boxes.

I'd sure like to try some of those NGC Silver/Gray boxes that many have approved of.

I am in about the same situation as Carl W. I also like the NGC boxes nut they never send them back in them to me anymore.

I do need about 400 more boxes or so for my Morgans, to keep dates together and better organized in the safe deposit boxes.

    Zero.

I would love to have a couple of them though. I have never even seen one for sale at the Ft. Worth or Shrevepost shows that I usually attend.

For those who may want the NGC boxes - they are available directly from NGC. I don't remember what they charge though.

2, I keep my Sacies in one and my SBA's in the other. But now I have too many Sacies for one box so they have to share space. Looks like I need some more coin boxes.
  • I have seen a whole bunch of both NGC and PCGS boxes for sale on e-bay. Prices were pretty good too, about $7.00 each.

Heres a link to one of each of them but there are many more

  • I throw most of them away because the black NGC boxes rule. They hold any slab.

I have one Hallmark box that has had a PCI label put over the Hallmark label.

I have both PCGS Green and Blue. No NGC boxes and do they actually ship coins back into folks in the box? I have not experienced that yet.
