May be making a pilgrimage down to Winchester, VA. Anyone know of any coin shops of interest in the area?

Trusty Google shows one possible place - anyone ever been there?

If you are coming this weekend, there is a small show in Leesburg, VA on Friday and Saturday.
PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

Coming from Burke VA s/b easy. I'm coming from Vienna VA and its simply 66 E/495 towards Tysons'/Dulles Toll Road - Greenway, and it is pretty much off the last exit on the Greenway. Took me a bit more than 1/2 hour when I went to the summer show.

My question is will the dealers show up the day after thanksgiving? If you're a dealer and have family obligations it seems the timing is less than optimal.

i live in winchester, va and the shop on Boscawen St only deals in bullion. i havent purchased any but have been tempted to buy a bag of junk silver from them. thanks for the heads up on the leesburg show. maybe we can do lunch or something while you are in winchester.
  • Yes. Virginia. There IS a coin shop.

Even coin-folk need a "Black Friday". If Wal-Mart can have Black-Friday sales on $1000 computers for $200, maybe Julian will mark down a few of his 1G coins to $200 image

Not so quick. Think of my product like the new playstation; the one that they stood out for several nights before and are now selling on Ebay for 3x what they paid for.
