I notice you edited the title to include "CHA-CHING". Was somebody kind enough to provide you with some value information?

    Conrad,

I guess you haven't been paying much attention to the market on these lately. A PR67DCAM sold on Heritage in September for $2185.

I missed the Heritage piece - prices are way up on the dcams.

They don't trade that often (or are made) so it can be kind of hard to assess true value. Note that the PCGS site is at $1600 which is usually about double retail.

Anyway, if prices are up I am happy. image

And Marty is happy is well.

Just because a single auction brought $2000 doesn't mean that it will again. It may have been a scenario where someone lost their mind and kept bidding it high.

yeah, some pricing can be unrealiable. i recall this past summer when pontiacinf made a 68CAM T.1 Franklin that was only supposed to sell for about $400 according to recent sales; i believe he ended with a price of about $1100. my feeling is that the choice of venue for selling is often the most important factor with a private sale many times being the best route and a large auction house a good choice.

Editted to put my response where it belonged. Sorry.

Sounds like they are going down in value. Is there a potential that the people who were willing to pay high dollar now have them and now the prices will be significantly lower?
