Has anyone else done a poster of their set(s). Share if you have them.

Share you posters if you have them. Here is my eight revision. I haven't made a print yet, but I'm thinking about 20 x 30 for the wall seeing though these things have to sit in the safety deposit box.

I really like your poster. I'm thinking about doing one for some of my coins. How did you do it, or did you have someone else do it? Thanks, fcloud!

That's pretty cool! I've made some wallpaper for my computer out of coin images, but that is about it.

I made this quite some time ago, and it's in sore need of an update. A couple of the coins shown are no longer in my collection and about a half dozen new arrivals aren't on the image yet. When the collection is complete at 122 coins I'll have a print made up of it.

<< <i>How did you do it, or did you have someone else do it? >>

    Did it myself. image

I only have Microsoft paint, so the original photos and the poster is made using that.

First I take photos of all my dimes as I get them. Most of the coin images are taken with my son's Nikon D50 From those photos I make an image of the obverse and reverse by doing some cutting and pasting. None of the images have the color adjusted -- they are what they are. There are a few coin images with my Sony, but they are not as good. Then I put a new image in my registry set. I use that same image and make a smaller version of it. I shrink them as close to the size as I can and then copy them and paste them into the poster. Trying to figure out how to make the image in a size in which a poster could print out as a photograph had its challanges.

Here is a copy of my first attempt.

Those are very nice posters! I have begun playing around with paintNet a few weeks ago and produced this last weekend - similar idea, showing four of the 30 or so of the Canada toners I bought over the past year or so. This is a real good rainy-day or cold, dead of winter project.

Very cool! Part of me wants you to crop out the holders, replacing them with a different background, solid black or otherwise, but they add a nice "patchwork" effect to the overall picture.

Cladiator made this one for me a while back, thanks again Rich!

As he said, these posters can get out of date pretty quick, with a few new arrivals, depending on how much success one has had in finding needed coins.

I'm going to try it myself one of these days with quarters, as I've been working on those lately. going to need some image hosting,
as well as to figure out how to crop circles and same-size the images.

I agree, they are very nice. Cropping is a real problem for me - I can't get a constistant circlular (or in my case, oval) cropping of the coins without spending an inordanate amount of time trying to get it done. Maybe I'll get that figured out in this lifetime!

The artwork in my "poster" is by far the worst of any of the ones displayed so far in this thread, unless you happen to live in a sawmill and think faux woodgrain is the latest trend in wallpaper. Here it is anyway. The thing you have to love about half dimes is that the entire surviving mintage of all dates and mints would probably fit neatly into 5 or 6 cigar boxes, should someone be lucky enough to corner the market and own all of them. However, none of you should start collecting them, as they're way too small and are clearly overrated.

P.S., I just bought three great upgrades from forum a member, which are sitting in my post office and will be added to my set picture soon.

Well, I should have been doing something more productive last night ... but, instead, I did this while listening to the Texas Tech - UT game. (Tech 31/ UT 35). Ouch for Red Raider fans - Tech took a 21 to nothin' lead in the first quarter a held the lead for most of the game.

For those without the skill or time to produce their own poster, Photobucket has a feature which allows
any size group of photos to be assembled into a 15 1/2 by 19 poster for $9.99 plus shipping. Here's a sample.

    These are really good, people!

I did one about 18 months ago, although it is 100% lousy compared to what I'm seeing here. There have been a lot or personnel changes since this time, mainly coins going out although a number of decent things have come in as well.

I thought it might be time to see if anyone else has any to add. Those posters are satisfying to look at.
