What is with people these days?!?!

I just got an email from a guy spewing all sorts of hatred my way, about a coin I have up for sale that he feels is overgraded and he starts in saying I am a scammer, trying to screw people etc. I mean monster hatred for some reason...doesn't even come out saying heh, I think this one coin out of 200+ other coins for sale is overgraded, you may want to check it out. No, just slams me.

Then he starts going on about my coin compared to a PCGS graded coin, not the same date...not even the same mint and how much nicer it is...I come to find out the coin he is referencing against mine is up for sale on ebay and being toughted as being way undergraded. And that PCGS nevers sends the same coin back with different grades and that whole mantra. I tell him to stop drinking the koolaid and get out and learn that although PCGS is fairly consistant, that they often grade coins differently. I tell him that PCGS is well noted for grading with conservative standards and that if he would talk to 100 knowledgable dealers that all 100 would back that up.

Bottom line, long story short no matter what I said he kept coming with you are a scammer trying to take advantage of people (I asked him if that is what this is all about...someone he knows got scammed and he's taking it out on me...and he confirmed that).

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I feel for the guy and all, but what can I do?

He wouldn't listen to anything I would say. I even tried to steer him here to the message boards, but that wouldn't resonate.

Resoundingly negative messages (for no good reason) are something I would just delete.

Report him to eBay for improper contact and abusive conduct.

I'd also like to know his eBay name so I can block him from bidding in any of my auctions.

I've purchased coins from Morris and was very happy with them. His feedback record speaks for itself. I don't know what bug bit this guy in the butt, but it sounds like it was not anything you did caused his problem. So I'd let it go, he's not worth the aggravation.

Won't link the auction with pic for fear of certain people calling me a spammer, but I will say the photo does look like a mid road VG since it was one of my early raw circ photos, which I overlit and hid a lot of the detail...but I still can't understand the hatred he spewed toward me.

I guess it just me trying to redeem the crap that was probably perpetrated on this guy or a member of his family.

Sorry, I checked the info that I have regarding the ebay identity and such and the only name I have for him is not an ebay identity.

I suppose I should just let it go.
