American Silver Eagle Collection Photo

Here's a snap of my ASE collection.

All proofs, all uncirculated in MS69, Millenium, 10th Anniversary 95W, and the 2006 Gold and Silver Uncirculated set. Still waiting on my 3 coin set with the reverse proof.

Nice set. Too bad they're in the wrong holders! LOL Actually, I think the eagles look better in the white holders instaed of the clear ones. Does your set have spotted coins too? Or, is it just PCGS and raw coins? What I'm asking, is, maybe NGC knows about the milk spot problem and they dip the coins first? That would be cool, hugh? The 95 set looks bad in that hlder. Why not crack it out and sell it as scrap? LOL I wonder how many raw sets still exist? It's worth it to keep it that way because you can ALWAYS break it out and have them dipped and slabbed if they spot, etc. BUT, you can never go back and put them back in the holders. Thanks for sharing! I never could because my coins are so mixed and scattered. Ray

None of my slabbed uncirculated have any milk spots, at least not yet. I was a little worried as I was going to buy from a dealer I usually deal with and I got these from AMPEX for almost a $100 cheaper. I took a chance, bought them, and they are perfect.

I want everyone to crack out the 95W's and get them slabbed. Then 10 years from now I'll be the only guy in the world with an original set.

    SNMAN,

No plans to slab the Proofs. I'm one of those guys who likes mint stuff in original mint holders and I think the ASE holders are nice. 69, 70, it's all the same to me if I'm keeping the collection with no plans to sell.

I like it like it is.
